Know Your Division. Play in the Right League.

We’ve updated our division names to match the age‑based format used across most youth sports. Here’s everything families need to know before the season kicks off.

First, we have to identify what “League Age” means

LEAGUE AGE:

• You child's age as of May 1^st of the current Season
  • Age Divisions
    • 6U
    • 8U
    • 10U
    • 12U
    • 14U

  🔥 WHAT DOES “U” MEAN?

• “U” = UNDER
  • I.E. 6U = ages 6 “and Under”
    • based on League Age

  Example:

  • Turns 7 after May 1st → stays in 6U
  • Turns 7 before May 1st → moves up to 8U

  This rule applies across all divisions.

  📣 DIVISION LINEUP

• 6U — Coach Pitch - Rookie Division
  • Ages 5–6
• 8U — Coach Pitch - Youth Division
  • Ages 7–8
• 10U — Player Pitch – Youth Division
  • Ages 9–10
• 12U — Firelands Inter-League
  • Ages 11–12
    • Follows FIB Community Rules - Players must attend Norwalk City Schools or St. Paul, unless their city has no FIB team
• 14U — Junior Division (FIB)
  • Ages 13-14
    • Follows FIB Community Rules - Players must attend Norwalk City Schools or St. Paul, unless their city has no FIB team

🏅 IMPORTANT

• All divisions are determined by League Age
  
  • Not grade level
  • Not birthday during the season

• The Website WILL ONLY allow you to register your child for the appropriate division
  • Any movement between divisions (Playing Up or Playing Down) will only happen AFTER the child is registered in the system
  • This will also require Board Approval
